How to Fix HP Envy Not Printing Color Print?

 

Let’s look at these five-steps before fixing an HP Envy printer.

 

If the quality of the printing page is not getting printed as expected and it is coming dull or faded, black or color ink is not printing, documents with blurred texts, etc.

Step 1: Re-install the printer drivers

 

Remove the printer from the device list.

 

Go to HP Customer Support-Software and Driver downloads. look for the latest version, download, and install those printer drivers.

 

Step 2: Check for ink smears on the back of printouts

 

Fill the input tray with white sheets. Touch the setup icon on the Printer control panel. Swipe up and select “Tools” followed by “Clear Page Smears”. The printer feeds one page slowly with some kind of noise. Wait for the paper to come out.  Try printing after cleaning Ink smears.

 

Step 3: Selection of appropriate paper size for printing

 

Wrong paper size, wrinkled papers, folded or torn papers can result in wrapping or streaks over the page. It can also stop printing and get stuck inside the printer.

 

Hence It is advised to use A4 size paper for printing documents and HP advanced photo paper to print graphic dense printouts. Also, the Photo paper should be handled carefully to contact.

 

Step 4: Check Ink Levels

 

If your printer is not printing satisfactorily, it might be possible that the ink inside the cartridge might have run short or have dried. Replace those cartridges soon for better results. Check the estimated ink levels in the “INK” icon in the printer’s control panel.

 

If any of the cartridges are running low on ink, replace them with a filled one. Handle the cartridges carefully and place them back in their place. Try printing a  Quality Diagnostic Report by selecting the option “Reports”. Click on the Print Quality Report.  A Quality report will be printed with further details.

 

Step 5: Clean the area around the ink nozzles

 

Clean the areas around the ink nozzles for proper flow of ink to the paper. If you can see smear marks on the printed page, try cleaning the area around ink nozzles by using the water and cotton swab. Dusting causes the blockage of nozzles and hence results in bad quality of printing. Clean them and try printing, check if the print quality is satisfactory.
